Describe the authors tone in your IRB and how it affects the story.
My author, Stephen King, has a tone in my story- "Shawshank Redemption." His tone is very calm for the most part, but every once in awhile gets excited. The tone of the story is affective for at least two different reasons, the plot and setting. If the tone was happiness and excitement, than the story would be completely different. The authors tone is appropriate for the story. Over all, my author does very well with the tone used for this story.

In the book I am currently reading- "Shawshank Redemption"- the setting affects the mood of the characters and the story. The old, cold, and lonely prison setting makes at least 2 men act different. One of those men is the main character and he is completely changed by the setting. The setting is not just important to the characters but also the story. In this book, the setting makes the story. After all is over, the setting still changes the mood of my story.

My character, Andy Dufresne, has a motivation in the book I am reading. Andy's motivation in the story is bad prison life. The conditions in Shwshank are causing him to want to break out of prison. Some of the conditions in prison are fighting, laboring jobs, and several other reasons. Andy's conditions, though are being made better for him when he gets a job as the librarian. While in the library he is many prisoners financial advisors. These are some motivations that might influence or motivate Andy to escape.

There is actually a great conflcit in the book i am reading, which is called- "The Shawshank Redemption". This story takes place in the 1949. Right now, in the story, Andy Dufresne is being "Bullied, beat- up and harmed". The conflict is solved, though. The tyrant, Bogs Diamond, one day, is found in his cell beatan- up. After that day, he never messed with anyone again.
